According to the website I got it from, it means something like "There is no hot water." Since this is probably the first time I've written Chinese characters in my life, I wouldn't be surprised if what I wrote is something different and obscene.

I agree. :D I can't escape the feeling that someone has already done that at some point in my life, but I can't remember what it was. I might be thinking of Opus being printed in newspapers alongside the ordinary comics..

Seeing your strip pop up on my reader has made my day, as it always does. I've been following them for a while and have just been irrevocably compelled to comment because you have to be made aware of your genius that transcends conscious linguistics.

Your Chinese handwriting is very good. Yeah, it does say "there is no hot water" in a way, but the phrase is best when said to a faucet. (i.e. you are giving a tour of a house, and you say "不出热水") In this context, it sounds like Reginald is telling Beartato not to excrete hot water while he sleeps..

which is awesome.

See, I thought it was creepy when I drew it. I intended for it to be creepy, but I can see how people think it's sweet.
